Grandad Colin: My Grandad was a living legend. Every time I saw Grandad Colin, he always crafted a new tale from his past that we never knew before. From being a fashion rebel as a teenager to his time in the air force, I still find it hard to believe what he got up to throughout his life. My Grandad was quirky, and I wouldn’t like him any other way. If there was one thing I was guaranteed from an interaction from Grandad, it was the bombardment of thick regional accents that he could muster thickly and without fail. He certainly gave the brummies and scouse a run for their money. Now I am older, I only wish I got to have a pint of Newcastle Brown Ale with Big Col, something I remember him drinking when I was young. With all being said, I am only sad I didn’t get to learn more about Grandad Colin. I will miss my Gan Cannie Grandad.
